Getting married in the canton of Geneva
In Geneva, the procedure is opened at the civil registry of the district where one of the partners lives. In the city, this is the Service de l’état civil, rue de la Mairie 37.

- Legalisation and verification: advance payment of CHF 300 to 2,000 per person, depending on the country

How it works in Geneva
For family reunification of a non-EU/EFTA spouse, the OCPM requires in particular suitable housing, no reliance on social assistance and the ability to communicate in French. We prepare all the supporting documents and follow the file until the decision.
